Corey Taylor
Corey is a Finance and Controlling Consultant. He joined Concord Solutions in 2001 after spending the previous five years working for a small SAP R/3 consulting company. The company Corey worked for began to focus mostly on Documentation and Training projects, but Corey wanted to move back into SAP Functional Analysis with a company that would expose him to a wider variety of challenges and experiences. He found that career at Concord. Since joining the firm, he's worked in Stockholm, San Diego, and Dallas.

What sorts of things have most impressed you about Concord?
I like the flexibility in Concord Solutions. They're willing to work with you, to take your talents and goals into consideration.
Also, my co-workers at Concord are all very professional and talented. We have a great team dynamic, and can always count on one another when one of us delves into a module or area of SAP he or she doesn't know as well.

What are some of your favorite aspects of
your job?

So far, I have enjoyed the challenges and fluidity of my job. Since joining Concord, I have worked on both an international SAP R/3 implementation team and on a system support team supporting SAP instances on four different continents!
Also, the travel has been great. The chance to be able to live for a while in both Stockholm and San Diego is something I'll remember.

What are some of the daily challenges you face in your job?
The need to be flexible and knowledgeable is a daily challenge. Each day I might be called on to trouble-shoot an SAP implementation in any of the countries that my Client's support organization assists, such as Sweden, Canada, Brazil, or Argentina. Because each request is different, it might involve doing a little on-the-spot training, some system configuration, or coordinating with the Development team to program new functionality in the country's system.

What have you been able to accomplish at
the firm?

I've been able to configure multiple SAP R/3 systems in multiple countries in the course of a day. Keeping each country's business model and specific objectives in mind adds to both the challenge and my interest level. This is a personal accomplishment, because in my previous consulting experience, I worked on one project at a time, thus only working on one system at a time.
Another accomplishment was that I have helped our Client implement a new SAP system designed to reduce delivery times to customers. The program helped reduce total time to customer by more than 10%.

What hobbies or interests do you enjoy outside of the office?
Obviously, I like to travel! While I was in Sweden, I was able to travel to multiple countries in Europe.
Also, I am an avid in-line skater. I am currently training for a 38-mile skating marathon.
